Return, Exchange, and Refund Policy

Legal Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, any consumer residing in the European Union has a period of 14 calendar days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide reasons or pay penalties. This right applies automatically, regardless of our commercial policy detailed below.

In addition to this legal right, IMAGINE LA MAISON offers an extended return policy of 30 days from the date of receipt of your order, under the conditions detailed below.

1. Legal Right of Withdrawal — 14 days (mandatory)

During the first 14 calendar days following receipt of your order, you benefit from your legal right of withdrawal:

  • No reason needs to be provided
  • No penalties or inspection/processing fees
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned product or proof of shipment.
  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility, unless the product is defective or non-compliant.
  • The product must be returned in perfect, unused condition and in its original packaging.

Important: During the legal 14-day period, the refund is made to your original payment method. A store credit may be offered as an alternative, but only if you voluntarily choose it.

2. Extended Commercial Policy — up to 30 days

Beyond the legal 14 days and up to 30 days after receipt of your order, we offer three options:

Option A — Exchange (size or color)

You can exchange your item for a different size or color of the same product. Exchange for a completely different product is not available under this option — in this case, we recommend returning the item for a refund and placing a new order.

  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
  • The new item will be shipped to you upon receipt and verification of the return.
  • Delivery time for the new item: 7 to 14 business days depending on your country.

Option B — Store Credit

You can choose to receive a store credit equal to the final price paid (after any discount). The credit is valid for a future order on https://imaginelamaison.com.

  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
  • Discount codes used at the time of purchase are not reissued.
  • The store credit will be issued within 7 business days after receipt of the return.

Option C — Refund to Original Payment Method

You can request a refund to your original payment method.

  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
  • Only the final price paid (after any discount) is refunded.
  • The refund will be visible in your account within 7 to 10 business days after receipt and verification of the return.
  • Discount codes or vouchers are not refundable.

Note: For returns between the 15th and 30th day (outside the legal withdrawal period), inspection and processing fees of 15% of the order amount apply only to refunds under Option C. These fees do not apply to exchanges (Option A), store credits (Option B), or returns for defective or non-compliant items.

3. Defective, Incorrect, or Non-Compliant Item

In this case, all costs are borne by us — return, replacement, or full refund, in accordance with the legal guarantee of conformity (Article L.217-4 of the French Consumer Code).

If you have received an item that is defective, damaged during transit, or different from what you ordered, please contact us at contact@imaginelamaison.com with the following information:

We will offer you the choice of an immediate replacement, exchange, or full refund. No return fees will be charged to you in this situation.

5. How to make a return?

Send an email to contact@imaginelamaison.com stating your order number, the chosen option (exchange, store credit, or refund), and the reason for the return.

We will email you the return address and, if applicable, a return form to include with your package.

Ship your carefully packaged item, preferably with a tracking number. For any package valued over €50, tracked shipping is strongly recommended. Without tracking, we will not be able to initiate an investigation in case of loss.

Upon receipt and verification of your return, we will process your request within the timeframes indicated above.

6. Late or Unreceived Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the indicated timeframe, please check in order:

  • Your bank statement
  • Your PayPal or Apple Pay account, depending on the payment method used
  • Contact your bank — processing may take an additional 3 to 5 business days depending on the institution

If after these checks you still have not received your refund, contact us at contact@imaginelamaison.com with your order number.

7. General Conditions Applicable to Returns

  • Any returned item must be in its original condition — unused, unwashed, with tags and original packaging.
  • Any returned item showing signs of use, damage, or excessive handling may be subject to a reduction in the refund proportional to the depreciation observed.
  • Only the final price paid (after any discount) is refunded — initial shipping costs are not refunded except when exercising the legal right of withdrawal within 14 days.
  • Promotional codes and vouchers used at the time of purchase are not reissued or refunded.
